Top 15 Tips To Stay Motivated To Get In Shape!

We all know how hard it is to keep on the right track to lose weight. So here are my top 15 tips to stay motivated to get in shape!

 

First, make sure you grab my free daily printable fitness log! They are designed specifically to keep you on the right track!

 

 

1.     Put your Bikini on! Picture yourself with these flat abs, tight legs, tight arms and a lifted booty!

 

2.     Buy a cute journal and keep track of what you eat daily and your exercise. Or get our Free Daily Printable Fitness Logs.

 

3.     Get a training partner, if someone's counting on you to be at the gym there's more chance you'll be there. Or hire a trainer.

 

4.     Spot a hottie at the gym. That should motivate you to go there often sexy mama! ;)

 

5.     Have a plan with a goal! Try some 30 day challenge with a new diet and a new workout program. Mine is to do Ketosis (low carbs) for 30 days with 1500 calories  (learn how to count your calories here) and then get to paleo and it works wonders! My goal is to get to 15% body fat.

 

6.     Just don't allow junk food in the house, it's just too tempting!

 

7.     Keep track of your progress. Take measurements of your waist, hips, arms, thighs. Buy a caliper and measure your body fat (you can calculate your body fat % here), weight yourself. Nothing motivates me more than knowing I made progress! Hey I just lost 2% (21% to 19%) body fat in less than a month and now I'm on fire :)

 

8.     Make your ex jealous! (Ah well I confess... that used to be my #1 motivation)

 

9.     Before you eat that pie, keep in mind that it will last much longer in your thighs than in your mouth. Think about how heavy and bloated you'll feel after.

 

10.     Surround yourself with people motivated to lose weight. If you're friends are always asking you to come eat out with them, it hold you from losing the weight without a doubt. Find friend to go to the gym or to take a jog with instead. Or join a jogging club and meet new people. 

 

11.     Love yourself! You want to be the best version of yourself, not change yourself. Look in the mirror and focus on what you like. :) Then picture the improved version of yourself after shreding a few pounds off and think of yourself that way.

 

12.     Eat when you're hungry. You shouldn't need to be hungry when trying to lose weight, you should just eat smarter. Try having 5 little meals (about 300 calories each) of clean eating food per day. If you eat less than 1200 calories it will slow your metabolism down anyway... You're most likely to burn your sexy muscles than that nasty fat that way.

13.     Give it all! One of the things that demotivates me is slow progress, so sweat it out at the gym, read the labels (you won't believe what you can figure out), know what you eat and eat smart! Some of you might try the paleo diet or eating clean. 

 

14.     Set mini reasonable mini goals (weekly or monthly). If you do everything right you should lose about 2 pounds a week on a steady rate, it also depends on how much you have to lose. If you're just starting you'll lose a lot of water at first but it will get to that. That's the rate that won't affect your metabolism and you won't bounce back! It's funny how people in my family believed that all diets are bad and that you'll only get it back... I proved them wrong! I lost 45 pounds and maintained it for now 3 years :)  YAY!

 

15.     Have an accountability partner with who will keep you on track when you miss a workout, feel like quitting and with who you'll share your victories! (Yesssss! I lost 5 pounds!) Or find a social group (Get Fit community on google+ for exemple).
